LENE: LOL...Oh my !!! My first layout is pretty UGLY !!!! I laught so hard when I see it... But back then, I did´t know better.. And I didn´t know how to take a good picture of it either...
So what to say about the layout..it´s a kind of clean and simple - style. That´s the style I was going for..;) The title says HEI = that means "HI" in Norwegian.
I don´t know if I should laugh or cry..but here goes...;

LIZZY: Mine is from 2009 - after going OS, I visited Mum who'd started scrapping & she introduced me to it by getting me to do this page whilst I was there on holidays. Now I do more than she does...go figure!!!!
...& right from the start....LOTS of words.....*sigh* can't help myself!!!!!!.. no washi; no liquid pearls...didn't know they existed then!!!!!!!!!!! ):):)

ANGELA: So this is my first and last attempt to make scrapbooking layout in June 2010, after that I realized that I don't have any tallent for it and put it on hold for 2! years. I still followed scrapbooking industry but was too scared to start again, and I tried another layout in 2012, but it's a whole different story ... :)

SANNA: This is what my first layouts looked like back in 2005. I had been decorating my photo albums also before that, but without knowing it was called scrapbooking...So I quess this is one of my first real scrapbooking pages. It was very hard to get embellishments and papers back then in Austria, so I used to use them very sparingly (just a few strips of paper here and there for decoration) - so this page is actually one with lots on it *lol*... Like Angela, I also paused after my first pages, because I really didn´t know how to continue after my "first encounter", but after 2008 there has been no turning back for me..I´m hooked :D..
❤ ❤ ❤
FELICITY: This page isn't by 'very' first, I couldnt find that album. But this page is one of the first I did when I really got into the 'scrapping world' back in 2009 when my first son was born.
❤ ❤ ❤
JASMINE: So I started way back in 2006 and I dont think there was a lot out there at that stage. Certainly not in the way of inks, texture, dimension. So my page - just paper on paper. Very exciting....lol. Although, these pics are some of my faves of my boys.

Thanks for sharing, we all have to start somewhere!!
ReplyDeleteThis was such fun looking at everyone's first layouts...wow, haven't we all come a long way! LOL
ReplyDeleteLizzy, your first layout is very similar to how I first started scrapping...photos were always matted (LOL) with typed journaling & quite a few photos on the one page...with maybe some brads etc for decoration...and that was it!
Ha!! I LOVE this :0) I am going to dig mine out and share it as I don't feel quite so ashamed now!! Looks like most of us started on the same path, matting and layering and no embellishments.....maybe that was all we had in those days, or did we all start off with one little box!!!
ReplyDeleteThis so cool to see and Thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea!! So I'm showing my first layout on my blog, too! :)

ReplyDeleteIt's almost exactly 2 years since I blogged (here) about how times have changed since starting scrapbooking in 2006. My first pages were very blocky and neatly aligned and I was scared to combine patterned papers! I had a LOT of help (and supplies) for those first few pages from a Dutch scrapper friend.
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun thing to think about ... every year I make progress with my scrapping and use of supplies. I still return to blocky pages from time to time, but there's a huge variety in my layouts now and those patterns aren't scary any more!
Thank you for the job! It was interesting to plunge into memories!!!!
ReplyDeleteI started scrapbooking in 2009
My Layots is still naive))))))
But I will continue to enjoy the process;-)
This gallery is becoming better every single moment, it is so good to remember our first LO.
ReplyDeletetks a lot for this time.
XXX
It was my first album. I gave it to my friend.)))
ReplyDeleteThis is my first layout made back in December 2010, when I was only beginning to scrapbook. I scrapped our Halloween pictures, attempting at steampunk styling. This LO still brings me a lot of joy and reminds me of the time when it took me ages to just decide where to start, to say nothing of where to go next ))
ReplyDeleteThis is so much fun that I've played along. I wish I'd seen it earlier, but I've put it up on Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge for Fave Fridays (early) hoping you'll get a few more girls to play along. Really clever challenge!!
ReplyDeleteWell, my link broke for some reason I see this morning, so here is the link if you want it: http://raggedyannie1.wordpress.com/2013/02/28/my-first-scrapbooking-layout-ever/
